Last year, 2011, saw the addition of a heating system to the swimming pool which was definitely appreciated by all our guests....even in the height of summer!
Less romantic but rather essential and moving us from 'old-time' France into the modern day was the installation of a brand new 'Fosse Septique' - or Septic Tank!
We also installed a large new tv and a handy workstation for your laptop in case work (sadly) intervenes on your holiday....
This year, 2012, we are concentrating on upgrading our facilities for pre-school age visitors from babies upwards! We are in the process of adding lots of extra features so that Mums and Dads can relax in the knowledge that everything has been reviewed and safeguarded.
We are also adding lots of those bulky items that take up so much room in your luggage, but which will make or break the success level of your holiday for tots. Changing mat for baby, door bouncer, sterilising unit, through to a brand new very-soon-to-be installed playground for toddlers with swings and slide, we really are concentrating our efforts on this area this year!
This year there will also be the opportunity to pre-purchase bulky supplies of nappies, formula and baby food, and also, hopefully, the chance to pre-purchase some homecooked items such as fish pie, soups and lasagne to go into the freezer to save some cooking time and make your holiday truly relaxing. If Emma's geese have been laying you might well be able to buy some fresh laid eggs too! We are also very happy for guests to eat as much of our fruit as they wish - which includes cherries in May, figs, grapes, and apples later in the summer and early Autumn.
Emma is our lovely changeover lady, and she will also be happy to be booked for an extra mid week clean if you wish for a small charge, or a service laundry. We do of course have a washing machine at the house, and plenty of gentle breezes to dry the washing on our rotary washing line in the garden (specially brought over from the UK last year - they don't seem to have them in France!)
All in all - we will try our utmost to make it a dream holiday for you and your children at our 'Maison au Coin du Ciel' this year..... look forward to hearing from you!
